Requests are made on a case-by-case basis and are granted at our discretion.

Our footage comes in a variety of colorspaces and so the “grey” look is because the video is in it’s original LOG view straight out of the camera. In the industry, you’ll be given log footage all the time and it’s your job to apply proper color management during the VFX process. All of our footage will include the colorspace in the name of the file. “VFXOasis_example_footage_slog3sgamut3cine.mov” for example uses the Slog3 Sgamut3cine colorspace. It’s up to you to use a program like davinci resolve to transform from the input color to an output color like srgb or rec709. We give you the original log since it provides more color data as well as let’s you be flexible based on your own VFX workflow. Other sites automatically convert to srgb, but for VFX, it’s important you have the highest quality log footage.
